Sirajudeen

Sirajudeen hailing from Alor Setar, Kedah is already carving a name in the local art scene. His talent on his medium of choice, mirrors, has won him several awards. His 65 metre-long work, 'Asmaul Husna, Allah & Muhammad', consists of 109 individual pieces of Arabic kufi caligraphy on mirror. It set a new world record (Asia Book of Records, Official World Record & Malaysia Book of Records) for the longest mirror carving when it was unveiled at the National Visual Arts Gallery. His works are literally a reflection of the soul. He actively participates in group exhibitions and held a solo at the Penang State Museum in 2014. He currently is undergoing a residency program at the National Visual Arts Gallery.
